Acer Aspire One AOD250-1165
This model is fairly new. So it has the usual features, i.e. built in wi-fi, camera, 160 GB drive, etc, etc. This is the 3 hr battery model. I have no idea where Amazon gets their tech specs. We just bought this and the manual states that it comes with 1 GB of RAM, and is upgradeable to 2 GB. It recognized 4 wireless connections in my area the instant it was powered on. So far it's great for what it was bought for, the internet, small low demand games, music, simple word processing...

Want Thermomix in North America? There is a model of TM31 with North American 110 voltage. And a great site to learn about it is this one: (lots of videos and recipes, check it out!) http://thermomixbimby.com

The package siunitx is even newer, it provides new features but also backward-compatibility with SIunits, units and related packages.

The beamerposter package is a very useful alternative. It extends a0poster and beamer in order to benefit from both, for instance in using the nice box handling of beamer.

ALso the tm31 takes a bit longer to warm up. That would be important if you are making yoghourt.

One last bit I just got to know: the uk site just published a whole book for easy indian recipes in thermmomix. I think I will buy it from Spain :-))
Best regards,

Thanks, Esther. The 21 -> 31 translations is really useful, I always assumed the recipes would be just the same...

Hello from sunny Spain,
I hope this helps... the ukthermomix site has got some recipes. And there are very nice english recipes in the Australian thermomix books. I think you can buy them somehow through the website: http://www.thermomix.com.au/
There is a whole lot of english recipes books in that site.
Also, note that for Italy and Portugal the Thermomix name changes to Bimby. And there are many nice books in italian and Portuguese...

One last thing: if you are cooking with a tm21, but the recipe is from the tm31 book, note that you need to slow the speed in one point/one and a half. And the other way round; from tm21 speed 4 recipe would be 5.5 in a tm31 machine.
